This short session is aimed at experienced presenters, both doctoral researchers and staff, as a refresher on presenting to non-expert audiences, and techniques and tips to make it engaging.
The session includes a quick run through of the content of the main two-hour version of this course, looking at broad approaches for effective engagement. This session also offers some reflections on the popular TED presenting style.
Summary handouts will be provided.
Consider attending Introduction to Public Engagement with Research prior to this training. Those less experienced in presenting to non-expert audiences would benefit more from attending the Engaging audiences from the stage (2 hour) session.
