As part of our RCUK Catalyst Seed Fund project , we are trying to better understand the full extent and nature of public engagement across the University and how it is perceived by researchers, other staff, and the external community.

We aim to

• identify the public’s expectations and perceptions of the University of Southampton regarding its research
• clarify internally existing incentives and motivations
• assess the barriers faced by researchers for public engagement.
