Philosophy welcomes a new lecturer

Philosophy at Southampton is pleased to welcome Jonathan Way.

Jonathan Way will join the department in February 2011.

He completed his PhD at the University of California, Santa Barbara in December 2008 and has since held a temporary lectureship at the University of Stirling. His main research interests are in ethics and practical reason, although he also has interests in epistemology and the philosophy of mind and action. He has published papers in Philosophical Studies, Philosophy Compass, Analysis, and the Journal of Ethics and Social Philosophy, on topics such as instrumental rationality, the normativity of rationality, and our knowledge of our own intentions and actions.
