November at Southampton - Conference news

Southampton philosophers will be speaking at a variety of events this November.

Chris Janaway will be speaking at the ‘Nietzsche on Morality and the Affirmation of Life’ conference at Oxford, Aaron Ridley will be presenting the keynote address at the Royal Musicological Association conference, 'Challenging Musical Ontologies', at Nottingham, and Daniel Whiting will be giving a Royal Institute of Philosophy lecture at Keele, entitled 'Belief, Truth, and Rationality'. In connection with the publication of his new biography of Robert Oppenheimer, Ray Monk will be speaking at a range of events over the month. He will be giving public lectures here at Southampton (see Events) and at the Bristol Festival of Ideas, as well as discussing biography with Hermione Lee at an event at LRB Bookshop, London. Ray will also be being interviewed on Irish radio station Newstalk and an interview with him will appear in the Guardian's 'Life in Writing' series.
