Success for Philosophy at Southampton in The Guardian University Guide 2015

Published: 5 June 2014

The Guardian University Guide 2015 has placed Philosophy at Southampton joint second nationally for course satisfaction, and joint third for graduate prospects, measured by career after six months.

These scores place us ahead of the likes of Oxford, UCL, St Andrews and LSE. In the overall rankings, Philosophy at Southampton climbed a huge 14 places compared to last year.

These fantastic results come just a few weeks after Philosophy at Southampton climbed nine places in the Complete University Guide 2015. Just a few months ago the National Student Survey ranked our Philosophy BA first nationally for overall satisfaction, with a perfect 100%, and we were ranked second for graduate prospects by the Times Good University Guide.

With a number of new members of academic staff, and an expanded curriculum, Philosophy at Southampton is set to continue its upward trajectory in the coming academic year.
