Event details

Many, or perhaps most, people accept without question that serious sexual relationships should be monogamous.

However, monogamy involves restricting access to two things that seem good: loving relationships and erotic pleasure. Does it really make sense to place this kind of demand on our partners and our selves?

Seeking food for thought during your lunch hour? Join us at the John Hansard Gallery for the Philosophy Café, a series of free, informal discussions open to all. No previous knowledge required – just an appetite for ideas.

Each session begins with a short talk by one of the University’s philosophy experts, followed by an open forum for debate.
