Event details

The fifth annual Philosophy and Religion Symposium. Dr Genia Schönbaumsfeld (University of Southampton) and Dr Andrew Pinsent (Head of the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion at Oxford) will be presenting.

The evening will be dedicated to discussing the role of language and the impact of the scientific age in the understanding of religious belief.

The Symposium is a chance to engage directly with teaching professionals, researchers and academics to discuss topics that are at the cutting edge of Philosophy and Religion. We aim to raise the profile of Philosophy and Religion, both in our region (which has a distinct contribution to make in this field) and nationally, and provide opportunities to strengthen professional relationships across schools, universities, and interfaith organisations. Previous speakers at our Symposium include Professor Keith Ward, Julian Baggini and Professor Roger Trigg.
