The Planeterrella Visits Pint of Science
This week the Southampton Planeterrella visited a Pint of Science event at Ebb & Flow pub in Southampton.
Pint of Science is an exciting organization that brings scientists from local universities to present their research at local pubs around the country. The Planeterrella joined the program at the Ebb and Flow in central Southampton. Dr John Coxon gave a fantastic talk on 'The Auroral Adventure', describing the history behind our understanding of the aurora and the underlying processes.
Other presentations on the night included 'Is Our Universe a Hologram' by Dr Andy O'Bannon and 'When Black Holes Collide' by Emma Osbourne. For more details about upcoming events please see their website.
