Dr. Caitriona Jackman is an Associate Professor of Space Physics and STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellow at the University of Southampton. Her expertise is in the study of planetary magnetospheres including Saturn, Jupiter and Earth. She has a keen interest in the process of magnetic reconnection and in learning about the magnetospheric dynamics which can drive planetary aurorae.

Dr. Jackman is an experienced science communicator and has taken part in events such as the Pint of Science festival.  She has also appeared on both television and radio.
