Dr Daniel Whiter is a lecturer in the Space Environment Physics group at the University of Southampton. Dr Whiter's research revolves around ground based optical observations of the aurora. He often uses the ASK (Auroral Structure and Kinematics) cameras currently located on the Norwegian island of Svalbard.
