One of this government's innovations has been the creation of the behavioural insights team, otherwise known as the “nudge unit”' - its goal is to apply psychology to policy and to find ways of persuading people.
Gerry Stoker, professor of politics and governance here, along with Nick Chater, professor of behavioural science at the University of Warwick, deliberate whether it can become a profit-making mutual under plans to be launched this week.
