Event details

Professor Peter Atkinson will be providing an overview of the ongoing ESPA funded project, The Dynamic Drivers of Disease in Africa, focusing on a case study of trypanosomiasis in Zambia.

The project aims to enhance our understanding of the connections between disease and environment in Africa, with a particular focus on animal-to-human disease transmission. Join us to find out more about the research plans, progress so far, and the potential application of a variety of analytical approaches to the data which is being collected.

These meetings are intended for everyone with an interest in disease ecology, spatial epidemiology and the types of spatial analysis and modelling methods that may be used in this field. There will also be a lot of relevance in some of our meetings for researchers in similar fields (e.g. species distribution modelling, health geography).

All are welcome to join us - it's a great opportunity to get together and discuss on-going research, methods, conferences, publications and more in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Feel free to bring your lunch.

Upcoming meetings

The meetings will run every month on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at midday.
