We are pleased to let you know that Dr Danielle Schoenaker from the School of Medicine at the University of Wollongong, Australia will deliver a seminar entitled ‘The role of nutrition before and after pregnancy for the prevention of adverse health outcomes in women and children'.

Dr Danielle Schoenaker is a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Medicine at the University of Wollongong, Australia. Danielle grew up in the Netherlands, where she obtained a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics and MSc in Nutritional and Public Health Epidemiology. She was awarded her PhD in Epidemiology from The University of Queensland in 2017.

Danielle’s research aims to inform strategies before, during and after pregnancy to improve health of women and children. Her current research is focussed on using longitudinal study data to examine preconception health and health behaviours in relation with maternal pregnancy complications, and to identify opportunities for the prevention of adverse health trajectories in children born to mothers with a high-risk pregnancy.
