We are pleased to let you know that Elizabeth Murray, Professor of eHealth and Primary Care will deliver a seminar entitled “Living With Covid Recovery: Development, Deployment and Evaluation of digitally-enabled, remote, supported rehabilitation for people with Long Covid.”

Abstract
Long Covid, or post-covid syndrome, is a distressing and disabling condition which can persist for months after an initial Covid infection, and prevent individuals from returning to work, or engaging in daily activities such as caring for their families.  Although it is a highly variable condition, most patients experience the core symptoms of fatigue, breathlessness, “brain fog” and anxiety or low mood.  These symptoms are amenable to rehabilitation treatments, but physical and mental health rehabilitation services are fully stretched and are struggling to meet the demand.

In this seminar, Elizabeth will present the NIHR-funded work on Living With Covid Recovery, including describing the iterative development of the intervention, using User-Centred Design and Human-Computer Interaction approaches; its deployment in the NHS in England; and some early outcomes from the evaluation.

Our seminars are by invitation only, if you would like to attend please contact Elena.
