Bibliometrics: measuring the impact of research

Target Audience: Research and academic staff

Brief Outline:

Bibliometrics is an increasingly important way to measure the quality of journals, researchers and even whole departments or universities. Drawing data mainly from Web of Science, Scopus or Google Scholar these include Impact Factors, the H-index and more complex metrics from SCImago and Eigenfactor.
