Student Centred Learning

Target Audience: Academic staff involved in course design, experienced staff who wish to review their approach to supporting students to become life-long learners.

Brief Outline: This workshop will provide a forum for experienced staff and those interested in module design to consider how best to support students to become better able to learn independently. The focus will occupy the middle ground between 'Taught' and 'Self-study' in curriculum design. Peer supported learning, resource-based and student-centred learning tactics will be discussed using examples and case studies. Participants will also be invited to share their own experiences of seeking to enhance the learning skills of their students.
