Enterprise support

Through Enterprise we apply our knowledge and expertise to generate commercial and socio-economic impact. This area of contribution focuses on those activities that support our overall enterprise agenda.

Here the emphasis is on applied research and the commercialisation of the University’s intellectual property and know how. This is often achieved through consultancy and patent applications, as well as through more formal knowledge transfer activities and the creation of spin out companies. Enterprise also encompasses the organisation of public outreach and external engagement activities which promote our values and support wider access to University expertise and facilities.
