You have excellent supervision and the University employs very experienced therapists. If you start with the Certificate, it really gives you a good background and helps you to progress.
By challenging yourself you not only learn new skills but you also learn a lot about yourself which gives you the confidence to know that you can cope in any situation.
Studying for a master’s in a year is hard work but I have enjoyed the course and improved my English along the way. I particularly liked the chance to visit a hospital and a hospice to talk to patients.
The fact that Southampton was a good university for research, particularly in Psychology, was very influential in my decision to study here and I was also impressed with the campus.
Another of the highlights was meeting up with a great group of girls who went through the doctorate with me, we supported each other through the programme and will keep in touch in the future.
Due to the skills and framework of the course, I’m in a really good position to be able to help others and I now have the confidence to move forward and make a difference.
