Background

Anna is passionate about applied research and has a keen interest in health and prevention. Through numerous posts she has worked in a variety of settings ranging from the nighttime economy, to schools, to emergency service training days. Anna has carried out research posts across the UK and internationally.

Anna has previously worked at the Home Team Behavioural Science Centre (Singapore) looking at the gambling patterns of pathological gamblers, and the Social Research Unit (Devon) where she worked on a randomized control trial looking at the implementation of an anti-bullying programme (KiVa) in primary schools across Wales. Her last post was at the Centre for Public Health (Liverpool John Moores University) where she worked on a World Health Organization collaborative project disseminating evidence on effective violence prevention, policy and practice.

Anna was also a volunteer for Son-Rise - a child-centered, one-on-one programme for children with autistic spectrum disorders.

Presently Anna works on the INTER-STAARS Project, researching concentration and attention capacity in infants at increased genetic risk of ADHD.
