I am the Year 2 Academic and Professional Tutor, and Placement Coordinator for the Southampton Doctoral Programme in Educational Psychology.

My work at the university is a seconded (0.5) role; the rest of my week is spent working for Southampton City Council as an Educational Psychologist.

Qualifications

BSc (Psychology) University of Plymouth.

PGCE La Sainte Union College of Higher Education

MSc (Educational Psychology) University of Southampton.

Research interests

I am interested in the use of gratitude diaries by children and young people to enhance their wellbeing and increase their sense of belonging at school/college, and have supervised a number of research projects in this area. My other interests include Emotional Literacy, the use of Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs) and sense of school belonging.

Year 2 Academic and Professional Tutor, and Placement Coordinator for the Southampton Doctoral Programme in Educational Psychology.

I teach on the Doctoral Programme in Educational Psychology and also on the undergraduate module in Educational Psychology.
