Research interests
I am currently involved in a number of projects relating to human visual cognition. Much of this work involves examining eye movement behaviour as people search their environment for given targets. My primary line of research is currently focused on a 4-year ESRC-funded project examining how people search complex 3D displays containing overlapping objects. Alongside that, I have also been heavily involved in conducting applied research funded by the Defence Sciences Technology Laboratory (Dstl). In addition, I am engaged in a variety of broader interdisciplinary projects, including with colleagues working in Ship Science, and at the Institute for Sound and Vibration (ISVR).
