Dr Marta Santillo is a Research Fellow within the Centre of Applications of Health Psychology, University of Southampton.

Marta is currently involved in the development of an online health intervention on antibiotic reduction, as part of the ARK (Antibiotic Resistance and Conservation in Hospital) project.

Marta has recently completed a PhD in Health and Social Psychology, at the School of Psychology, University of Leeds. Her research focused on the effects of the quality of intergroup contact between doctors and nurses on professional communication and attitudes. During her PhD Marta also worked as Research Fellow as part of the Quality and Safety Research Team at the Bradford Institute for Health Research. She was involved in the development and delivery of Behaviour Change Interventions on Patient Safety for health care professionals.
