All our CBT Professional Development programmes are post-qualification awards, designed for practitioners active in one of the caring professions.
The courses are therefore designed to integrate with your full-time job. Teaching is typically a mix of block release and day release, plus supervised practice. Together these generally extend across a full academic year. You will also need to allocate time for additional private study.
The University's libraries and other facilities are available for your use as a registered student.
If you have been away from higher education for some time, you may like to re-familiarise yourself with study at this level, for example through some preliminary reading of relevant book and journals. For the Diploma, there are particular requirements regarding prior academic achievement and experience.
The five-day Introduction to CBT is an integral part of the two Certificate courses. However, you can also take it as a separate CPD activity, with the option of completing the associated assessments.
You may also like to know that some individual modules (not involving CBT) on our postgraduate taught programmes may be studied on a stand-alone basis.
Our range of CBT courses are designed to suit practitioners at varying stages in their careers, and those working with different client groups
