BPS award for postgraduate student

Published: 10 May 2013

Psychology PhD student Sara Robertson has received the prize for the Best Postgraduate Oral Presentation at the BPS Wessex Branch Annual Student Conference.

The conference, held in Bournemouth at the end of April, gave Psychology students the opportunity to showcase their research. Sara’s presentation, Making the most of the time we have left: Nostalgia and the perception of limited time, was voted the best postgraduate talk by those who attended the conference.

Sara is currently a third year PhD student conducting research on The Relationship between Nostalgia and Wellbeing across the Lifespan and is supervised by the Director of the MSc Research Methods programme and nostalgia expert Dr Tim Wildschut. Sara previously completed her MSc in Research Methods in Psychology and hopes to remain in academia conducting research and teaching when she finishes her PhD later this year.
