Event details

E-HIS is a brief on-line self-guided home-based programme focusing on developing positive condom use experience, reducing condom use errors and problems, and enhancing condom use.

E-HIS is a brief on-line self-guided home-based programme focusing on developing positive condom use experience, reducing condom use errors and problems, and enhancing condom use. The prototype of the programme’s website was developed and qualitatively evaluated. The think-aloud method and semi-structured interviews were used to elicit users’ views and experience with the prototype. The analysis of the interviews allowed the discovery of aspects of the programme that could negatively impact future users’ experience with it and lead to them leaving the programme.

Some of the key areas that require further development are: presentation of programme approach and supporting arguments, methods of increasing motivation to engage with the programme, specific advice on errors and problems, and meeting specific individual’s expectations. Challenges of further on-line programme development will be presented and possible solutions will be discussed
