Event details
Facebook advertisement has been typically used to promote various commercial products and services. In the last few years, it has gained popularity amongst researchers in the US who have used Facebook to recruit participants for randomised controlled trials or to evaluate complex online interventions. The advertisement was lately used to recruit ‘hard-to-reach’ populations such as young men who have sex with men living in rural areas across the UK. This workshop will describe research that could benefit from Facebook advertisement and discuss issues related to cost-effectiveness, ethics and potential reach.
