Victor Kovalets is a PhD researcher in the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Southampton. He is interested in mental imagery in post-traumatic stress disorder and using the trauma film paradigm methodology to study this area.

Bachelor of Science (BSc), Royal Holloway, University of London (2010)

Master of Science (MSc), University College London (2014)

His area of interest focuses on the role of mental imagery in causing and maintaining psychopathology such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social anxiety disorder. Other interests include exploring the use of visuo-spatial tasks to reduce intrusions of stressful images. One method of collecting data involves presenting mildly stress inducing stimuli and recording subsequent intrusions to understand the nature of traumatic memory in PTSD.
