Research project: Developing computational models of accuracy regulation

Currently Active:
Yes

We use signal detection theory to model memory monitoring and how confidence is used to regulate accuracy in a variety of basic and applied contexts including:

  • Recognition and recall
  • Educational testing (e.g., formula-scored tests)
  • Gambling
  • Eyewitness memory

More recently, the model has been extended to investigate unconscious processes in implicit learning tasks.
