Research project: Self Authenticity

Yes

Welcome to Project S:ELF, a collaborative effort between psychological scientists at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Southampton and funded by the ESRC.

Project S:ELF aims to expand upon current understanding of how people experience the self and, further, if and how memory plays a role in this experience. For example, with our studies we seek to address questions such as:

Why is it important to people that they are able to express themselves? (SELF: Expression)

What situations cause people to reflect and think about themselves? (SELF: Logic)

How do people feel when they reflect upon a past "version" of themselves? (SELF: Feelings)
