Congratulations Dr Nisreen Alwan!

For this year, the theme of the list is ‘Women who led change in 2020’.

Dr Nisreen Alwan, Associate Professor in Public Health and an Honorary Consultant in Public Health at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is included in the BBC's 100 women of 2020 list as one of the most inspiring and influential women from around the world. Even more impressive is that she is 1 of 11 women of Arab origin contributing that way in defeating the stereotypes of Arab women being compressed due to weakness and submission along with cultural demands of invisibility.
