Event Description Many research funders are interested in how your work will lead to benefits outside academia – in fact it’s often an important part of the assessment process. This session will focus on how to write a winning Pathways to Impact document. You will have a chance to review real examples and begin to sketch out your own potential routes to impact.

Speaker information

Dr Stephen Kemp,as a background in chemistry research. He worked for a number of years as a portfolio manager at EPSRC where his role included advising applicants on Pathways to Impact and providing training at universities. For the past few years he has worked at Southampton supporting academic staff on funding strategy and proposal writing, often with a focus on Pathways to Impact. He is now the University’s Impact Framework Manager with the Research Innovation Service coordinating the University’s efforts to stimulate, support and capture impact.
