To inform opinion ahead of the forthcoming EU referendum, CPC will be hosting a public panel debate to discuss the wider issues around recent CPC research on EU migrants living in the UK, migrants' attitudes to the forthcoming referendum, and resulting social policy implications. These events form part of the Economic and Social Research Council's 'The UK in a changing Europe' initiative, which aims to provide an independent source of information and insight about UK-EU relations ahead of the EU referendum. The events are organised in collaboration with Population Europe, the network of Europe's leading demographic research centres.

Mark Mardell ,Presenter, BBC Radio 4 World this Weekend,At the forefront of reporting and analysing major world events for radio and TV for 25 years. He's fascinated by the intersection of domestic and international politics and has recently returned to the UK to present The World This Weekend and The World at One.
Professor Jane Falkingham,Director of the ESRC Centre for Population Change at the University of Southampton as well as a Professor of Demography and International Social Policy and Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences. As Director of the Centre, Jane works with closely with CPC staff and contributes to all projects.
Don Flynn ,Director, Migrants’ Rights Network,Leads the organisation's strategic development and coordinates MRN's policy and project work. He is a regular and sought-after speaker at conferences, seminars and lectures.
Professor Derek McGhee,Professor of Sociology, as well as the Director of Research and Enterprise within the Social Sciences Department and Interim Head of Social Sciences at the University of Southampton.
Professor Traute Meyer,Professor of Social Policy at the University of Southampton. Since October 2012 she has been co-investigator in a project on European migration and social rights: "Free movement, pension costs: the projected pension outcomes of European Union migrants to Britain in comparative perspective".
Dr Athina Vlachantoni,Associate Professor in Gerontology at the University of Southampton. She has a PhD in social policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MSc Comparative Social Policy at the University of Oxford (Wolfson College) and a BA Social Policy and Politics at Royal Holloway, University of London. She is also a member of the Social Policy Association, the British Society of Gerontology the ESRC Peer Review College and an Associate Editor of Ageing & Society.
