In this session, Gavin will explore how to find out about current Government Consultations and Parliamentary Select Committee Inquiries, and how to write a response of most use to the people reading it. Gavin will explore the different styles needed for Government and Parliament.
Speaker information
Gavin Costigan,Gavin was appointed as Director of Public Policy@Southampton in March 2016. Previous to this he was the Director of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for six years, and before joining the University of Southampton Gavin was a senior civil servant in central government. During his time in Whitehall he read many consultation responses and in his role as Director of the VC's office he has written a number of consultation responses on behalf of the University.
