Evidence Supply Evidence Demand Capacity rising
Strategically, I am engaging with policymakers (in and beyond Westminster) on several EPSRC and UKRI funded projects in support of colleagues across the University of Southampton to target specific outcomes. Including Responsible AIUK (Gopal Ramchurn), Citizen-Centric AI Systems (Seb Stein), and the Centre for Doctoral Training in AI for Sustainability (Enrico Gerding).

Governmental Parliamentary Submissions to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee – Oral evidence: Governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) , HC 945. I am currently supporting colleagues in their responses to government consultations on Technology Adoption and Copyright and AI. I am working on identifying high profile use cases and how to scale these faster through progress towards alignment of Areas of Research Interest (ARIs) and Pure as a knowledge mobilisation technique.

I have delivered training and one-to-one project consultations at: ECS REF Away Day; FEPS KEE Away Day; ECS Community Forum; ECS Away Day; WSI Advisory Board. I helped curate a Centre for Science and Policy visit by DSIT AI Director Sam Cannicott for face-to-face discussion with Professors - Tim Norman, Wendy Hall, Cheryl Metcalf, Graham Reed and Enrico Gerding. He co-produced a Southampton visit with Joseph Owen for DCMS Chief Scientific Advisor Prof Tom Crick to meet with, discuss project outcomes, and raise awareness of upcoming collaborations and prospective research questions across FEPS and FAHS for mutual and competitive advantage.
