The University operates a devolved admissions structure with all decisions on applications being made within each of the eight faculties in accordance with the single University Regulations and University Admissions Policy.

The University Admissions policy is owned by the Recruitment and Admissions Subcommittee, chaired by the Vice-President (Education) responsible for recruitment and admissions.

The University Admissions regulations are owned by the Academic Quality and Standards Committee (AQSC) and are reviewed annually by the Recruitment and Admissions Subcommittee who report to AQSC.

Undergraduate Applications

All undergraduate applications to full-time programmes are made through Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Applications to part-time undergraduate and some short courses, study abroad, and other opportunities are made directly to the University.

Postgraduate Applications

All postgraduate applications are made directly to the University. Applications for teacher training programmes are made via UCAS Teacher Training.
