Annual Monitoring - Taught Programmes 2019-20

Deputy Heads of School (Education) are asked to provide a short summary report to AQSC’s December meeting on provision in Semester 2 2019-20 and identifying any issues arising from Collaborative Provision.

This might reflect informal conversations in the School, the result of a formal conversation at SPC, reports from module leaders and feedback from students.

It should identify areas requiring further support or monitoring during 2020-21.

Reports due by November 21 2020.

Annual Monitoring - Taught Programmes 2020-21

Given the nature of teaching in 2020-21, it is key that the University’s agreed Common Framework for Online Education is used as a reflective tool to understand and, where possible, improve the quality of delivery during the year.

In particular,  the self-referencing questions contained within the Common Framework for Online Education are designed to aid reflection on programme design and delivery. (these are attached in an editable document, and available in the Common Framework for Online Education brochure on the Common Framework for Online Education website).

Deputy Heads of School (Education) are asked to consider making space at SPC meetings throughout the year to reflect on how delivery is going.  In particular, the four lenses of good design for online learning – Visibility, Flexibility, Engagement and Clarity – as expressed in the Framework

The Annual Monitoring Scrutiny Group has been asked to make proposals for how best to monitor 2020-21 provision, and will be making recommendations to AQSC at its meeting in May 2021.
