Special considerations guidance
Be familiar with the guidance before starting the process. The guidance includes examples of circumstances which may or may not be accepted and examples of acceptable supporting information.
Self certification form
If you need to submit a self-certification form as part of your request in accordance with the guidance, you must contact your Personal Academic Tutor, Senior Tutor, Programme Lead or Director of Programmes to discuss your circumstances. The self-certification form should be used when you have suffered an illness lasting 1–5 consecutive working days without receiving medical advice, or other extenuating circumstances where you are unable to provide supporting information.
Extension request for assessment form
This form should be submitted as soon as possible, before the submission deadlines. Extensions cannot be accepted after the deadline. If you have been unable to submit on time, please use the Special Considerations process and form below.
Special considerations request form
Have your supporting documents ready before completing the form and note it should be submitted as soon as you can – usually no longer than five working days after any assessment or deadline may have been affected by exceptional circumstances.
