Code of Conduct for Fieldwork

Fieldwork is an essential part of our degree programmes, and of the student experience at Southampton. We want you to enjoy your field experience, but you also need to work safely in the field, and act responsibly, safely and respectfully at all times. You must co-operate by giving consideration to the health and safety of yourselves and others. While on fieldwork, you must observe all instructions issued by staff.

Despite being away from the University during a fieldwork trip, the regulations and policies of the University still apply. The full details of all the University’s regulations can be found in the University's Governance Webpages. We flag for you the University’s Equality and Diversity policy, as well as the Student Charter, University Regulations Governing Student Discipline, and the Dignity at Work and Study Policy

All are in place to describe our commitment and expectations surrounding a fair, equitable and mutually supportive learning and working environment.
