Programme Suspension and Closure

The Programme Suspension and Closure Policy applies to taught and research degrees, those programmes delivered across multiple locations or by different modes of delivery (e.g. online programmes), and those delivered through an Education Partnership arrangement.

This Policy has been written to align with the University’s Student Protection Plan. This Policy does not apply to short courses or non-credit bearing provision.

A programme suspension or closure is only permitted for future (pre-application) cohorts.  Therefore, current students already studying on an existing programme will be taught out under that existing programme.  Offer holders that have accepted an offer of a place to study will be admitted in line with the information provided to them on the University webpages and the relevant Course Description Document.

The templates below are currently being revised to meet the requirements listed in the new Policy.
