Dr Jo Yetman's photo

Jo is a versatile engineer with a strong technical background in composite materials and is an expert in structural analysis and damage propagation.  Jo studied a Master of Engineering at the University of Cambridge specialising in mechanical engineering and an Engineering Doctorate sponsored by Lloyd's Register and the Ministry of Defence Surface Ships in Damage Tolerance of Marine Composites at the University of Southampton.  Between degrees Jo gained industrial experience in naval shipbuilding, composite manufacturing and composite marine craft at GURIT UK, VT Halmatic and BVT Surface Fleet.  Jo joined RIfI in October 2013 and is currently involved in a number of industry led research and consultancy projects.
