The University of Southampton teaches me ‘the heights yield to endeavour’, while the Centre for Risk Research (CRR) helps me to understand how to tap into ‘the wisdom of crowds’ to take decisions in the face of risk and uncertainty. With the supervision of Dr Mario Brito and Dr Patrick Beullens, I will contribute my enthusiasm and expertise through my research outputs and publications in the field of decision analytics and risk.

Student biography

I have always been interested in observing and exploring individual psychology and organizational behaviour. My special educational experience in both China and the United Kingdom inspires me to focus on the different companies’ performance between financially developing countries and financially developed countries. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have had the opportunity to undertake some original research on my Master about how the global pandemic affects the companies' bankruptcy in financially developed countries. To further enhance emergency management across all countries, I plan to continuously study the post-effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on transportation companies’ bankruptcy for my PhD.
