Bill's lecture was preceded by an introduction from Professor Don Nutbeam, Vice Chancellor of the University of Southampton. Bill delivered his lecture entitled 'Profitable Exploitation of an Inefficient Financial Market' to a packed theatre of enthused masters students, alumni and academics. After the lecture, Bill addressed a number of topical questions from the captivated audience and then took the time to engage in more detailed discussions with a small number of students.

Bill also provided an exclusive video interview, in which he discussed his close affinity to the Centre for Risk Research. During the interview, William said "I became aware of the faculty here at Southampton some years ago from attending international conferences. We quickly established friendships and I became increasingly interested in the work that goes on here. I'm now involved in a research project here at Southampton and I'm very pleased with the success so far". In the interview, Bill also outlined how the Centre for Risk Research has helped him to analyse big data and to develop complex modelling procedures. Furthermore, Bill described his aspirations for future research projects with the Centre for Risk Research.
