Joanne Ellison is a Research Fellow in the Department of Social Statistics and Demography at the University of Southampton. She is working within the modelling strand of the ESRC Centre for Population Change and on the project ‘Understanding Recent Fertility Trends in the UK and Improving Methodologies for Fertility Forecasting’ (FertilityTrends), focusing on designing forecasting models for fertility. She recently completed her PhD in Mathematical Sciences (Statistics Group), also at the University of Southampton. Her thesis focused on stochastic modelling and projection of fertility rates.

Research Fellow at University of Southampton (2021-)

PhD in Mathematical Sciences, University of Southampton (2021)

BSc in Mathematics, University of Southampton (2016)
