Royal Society International Exchanges award
Dave Woods has won a Royal Society International Exchanges award to work with Frederick Phoa (Academia Sinica, Taiwan) to develop new methods for screening experimentation.
Many modern scientific and industrial processes are complex and may depend on many different features or factors. Screening is the process of identifying, through statistically designed experiments and modelling, those important factors upon whose settings process performance most depends.
The award, with co-funding from the Taiwanese Ministry of Science and Technology, runs for two years and will support research visits between Southampton and Taiwan.
