S3RI proudly announces arrival of Dr Sourish Das, an assistant professor in the Chennai Mathematical Institute, India

Dr Sourish Das has been awarded a Commonwealth-Rutherford fellowship for a year by the UK Government. 

Sourish will develop novel Bayesian data science techniques for machine learning and prediction for functional big data. Sourish is interested in a range of environmental, such as the extent of Arctic sea ice cover, and financial topics such as prediction of the UK treasury yield curve.  Sourish will also offer a short-course on statistical machine learning during June 13-15, 2018 as has been previously announced.
