Money matters

 

As a postgraduate student you will need to pay annual tuition fees to the University for your programme of study. You may be able to apply for funding to help you cover your costs.

When planning your finances, you will also need to consider other expenses such as living costs, accommodation fees and study materials. Visit the University’s postgraduate fees and funding page for more information.

Postgraduate Loans (PGL) for Master's study

Postgraduate loans are now available for UK and EU students studying a postgraduate degree and research masters programmes.

These loans are worth up to £11,222 per student.

Fees

Some financial assistance is available for postgraduate students at S3RI but awards are made on a competitive basis.

Scholarships

Other potential funding sources exist. They include scholarships from the University or the individual Academic Unit, research council funding, such as a Doctoral Training Grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and opportunities through industrial funding, CASE awards and other research funds.
