Graduate school

Our postgraduate students are a highly valued part of our community, and are integral to the continued success of the academic unit and of the University as a whole.

We recognise the diverse needs of our postgraduates, and provide a focused approach to meeting those needs at every level. Generic postgraduate study skills are an important part of your learning experience. A range of courses are on offer, some of which are mandatory on certain Masters' programmes. We encourage all postgraduate students to sign up for any further sessions which could be of benefit. Further details are available to registered students through Gradbook, the University's Graduate Schools Booking Scheme. Each year we have an exciting range of talks from both internal and external speakers. These will give you an opportunity to meet some of the leading figures in psychology-related disciplines from both the UK and overseas, and to learn about new and innovative research projects.

I have really benefited from being part of the largest experimental design group in Europe. I have presented at several international conferences and organised one for fellow PhD students myself.
