Professor Peter WF Smith and Dr Gabriele Durrant are working with Dr Frauke Kreuter from the University of Maryland and IAB Nuernberg on a three year project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) to improve field process management and intervention decisions during data collection. Lecturers at S3RI have visited Ege University in Izmir, Turkey as part of the European Union’s ERASMUS Teaching Staff Mobility Programme. Professor Dankmar Boehning and Dr Stefanie Biedermann met colleagues at Ege’s Department of Biostatistics to exchange ideas and foster further teaching and research collaborations. A major project involving S3RI with researchers at the University of Oslo, Norway and the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute is examining new integrated models of European migration using a Bayesian modelling approach. You can find out more by visiting our migration research pages.
