Research project: Statistical disclosure control methods for census output

Currently Active:
Yes

Natalie Shlomo is working on projects related to the protection of Census tabular outputs, as part of a research contract with the Office for National Statistics.

Statistical disclosure control methods are being examined through a disclosure risk – data utility framework where methods are optimised to manage the disclosure risk while ensuring high utility in the data. As a member of the Task Force on European Union Methodology for Census Data Disclosure Control (CENSDC), Natalie is also involved in the assessment of disclosure control methods for a remote access server that allows users to generate Census tables online.
