1D proton NMR spectrum
Image 1
The small and simple molecule, trans-ethyl crotonate is often used to illustrate NMR spectroscopic experiments.
Basic proton and carbon 1D NMR spectra of the molecule trans-ethyl crotonate are presented.
The molecule is historically chosen specifically for its simplicity so that the elegance of the NMR spectra might be clearly demonstrated.
